A chiropractic adjustment, also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation, is a common therapeutic treatment for lower back pain, neck pain, headaches and whiplash.
A chiropractic adjustment refers to a chiropractor applying manipulation to the vertebrae that have abnormal movement patterns or fail to function normally.
The objective of this chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation/misalignment, with the goals of increasing range of motion, reducing nerve irritability and improving function.
Just as lasers have replaced scalpels in some surgeries, advanced technology has become available to chiropractors to assist in delivering chiropractic adjustments.
Dr. Moore and thousands of other doctors around the world now use the Impulse Adjusting Instrument® in the care of their patients. This patented and FDA registered device was specifically created to deliver gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments to the joints of the spine and extremities to relieve pain and restore function. The Impulse Adjusting Instrument® is controlled by micro-computer circuitry housed within the device that produces a controlled force that chiropractors can use to treat different areas of the body.
Impulse adjusting is a new technique developed to provide controlled treatments to the specific areas you’re having trouble with.
Dr. Moore uses the Impulse Adjusting Instrument to provide this treatment rather than the traditional manual methods.
Impulse adjustments are high-tech.There is no popping or cracking with these adjustments , but rather very precise and targeted adjustments designed to specifically care for just the right areas.
Years of research have gone into the development of the Impulse Instruments to create gentle chiropractic adjustments that are safe and effective for patients of all ages.
When chiropractors talk about extremities they mean the numerous joints present in the body including the jaw, shoulder, ribs, shoulder, wrist, elbows, fingers, hand, hip, ankle, knee, toes, and the foot. Chiropractors always inspect spine to look for potential issues with subluxation, fixation, and joint irregularity but these subluxations, fixations and joint irregularities can also be present in the extremities. These problems in the extremities may also lead to chronic spinal issues. Commonly, the spine is checked and adjusted before going to the extremity to check and adjust it. The extremity adjustment should complement the spinal adjustment.
I am very grateful to be treated with such compassion and respect. I would highly recommend visiting them if you need massages or physical therapy.
