What to Expect on Your First Chiropractic Visit

If you're considering chiropractic care for the first time, you might be wondering what your first visit will be like. At Huntington Chiropractic Accident & Injury Clinic, we make the process simple, comfortable, and informative — whether you’ve been in a recent accident or are just tired of dealing with chronic pain.

📝 1. Paperwork & Welcome

When you arrive, our friendly staff will greet you and help you complete any necessary paperwork. You can also save time by filling out our online intake forms ahead of your appointment.

💡 Tip: Bring your insurance card, ID, and any reports (X-rays, MRIs, etc.) related to your condition.

💬 2. Consultation with the Doctor

You'll sit down with Dr. Moore to talk about:

  • Your pain or symptoms
  • Any injuries or accidents (even old ones)
  • Your medical history
  • Your goals for care (relief, wellness, mobility, etc.)

This is your time to ask questions — we listen carefully and tailor treatment plans to your needs.

🧠 3. Exam & Testing

Next, we’ll perform a thorough exam, which may include:

  • Postural evaluation
  • Range of motion testing
  • Orthopedic or neurological tests
  • In-office digital X-rays (if needed)

We take the time to find the root cause of your symptoms — not just mask them.

⚙️ 4. First Treatment (in most cases)

If appropriate, you may receive your first adjustment and therapy on the same day. Treatment may include:

  • Gentle spinal adjustment
  • Muscle stimulation therapy
  • Roller table or heat therapy
  • Personalized advice for home care

We’ll walk you through every step so you know what to expect and feel comfortable.

📅 5. Recommendations & Next Steps

Before you leave, you’ll receive:

  • A clear explanation of your condition
  • A treatment plan customized to your goals and insurance
  • Options for affordable self-pay if needed
  • Help scheduling your next visit

Our goal is to get you feeling better fast, and keep you that way.
